Afew example of Shelter Quarters and Rain Ponchos…PortugeaseCamo is very rare in the states…And I forgot that the West German Zelt-Tarnmuster was made into clothing….But not for real troops….It was made for the SS troops in the movie A Bridge to Far.I always wondered when I was a kid if the camo in that movie was really a German pattern…And sure enough it was.Just post-war! The Austrian stuff is very effective in the fall and winter. The B-side of the Austrian stuff is a dam fine camo..I don’t know why it was nerver produced into clothing? The french Lizard Camo is effective in most theaters of combat,I think thats what the troops in Viet-Nam used as the base for their Tiger-Stripe fatigues..I know the French troops used Lizard when they tried ousting the Commies, before we tried…Now the WW2 German Splinter Camo is just a nice Origanal piece for the World Camo Collection..AND YES ALL OF THE ORIGANALS ARE DATED!!

We’ll get you a Kiwi ‘hootchie’ when you come down. They were popular trade items with US soldiers when I was in the Army because of their length.

Very nice. I guess the Austrian pattern on the back is a relative of the Wehrmacht “Sumpftarn”, looks pretty similar. Anyway, great collection, wish I had the money do do something similar.

By the way, I also love the “Splinter” pattern :-) For all the faults of the 3rd Reich, at least their camouflage patterns are great!

The back of the Austrian Zelt is stone camo for use in the Alps…

@Ufthak1 Yes I think the Third Reich modernized warfare by universally issuing camo to all their soldiers…Some of their patterns were very very effective for STATIC DEFENCES…And many country’s used variants of German patterns for years…..I’ve been collecting CAMO for twenty-five years….I just purchased some RARE South African Police Force Camo..I’ll post that this week…

  7. Ufthak1 Says:

Yep, for example the modern Bundeswehr uses “Flecktarn”, which derives from the W-SS “Erbsentarn” (pea dot).

Looking forward to your videos :)

Great video and collection! Our camoflage actually resambles a lot that Portuguese pattern, like you said! The color might be a little too light for the rain forest, but it surely looks pretty much like it! Thank you so much for sending me this great review brother! If you get that jacket post a video on it too. A big friend of mine is a paratrooper sarge and might be able to get one of those jumping jackets, if you want. Let me know! Take care brother!
